From the time of Confederation, there has forever and a day been tension between the communicative francophones and the English-speaking anglophones of Canada. During the late 1960s, this tension developed into a superpatriotic belief known as the Quebec Separatist movement, which became the main strain of Canadas arguable issues for decades to come.
